Smoothies are always on my breakfast rotation. Not only are they delicious, but they can pack a lot of nutrients in them, especially when they have a variety of fruits, sometimes vegetables, yogurt, and liquids such as coconut water. I am typically a green smoothie girl, but won’t say no to other versions of a smoothie. Berries are a staple in my smoothies, especially strawberry. Strawberry smoothies create the most beautiful pink hue, whereas adding a cup of spinach to it will turn the color green. This strawberry smoothie has a heavy emphasis on the strawberry, with a sprinkle of other delicious ingredients that bring multiple servings of fruit to your breakfast.
This particular strawberry smoothie incorporates raspberries, pineapple, blueberries, a large handful of strawberries, two tablespoons of Stonyfield farm plain whole milk yogurt, and a tablespoon of my favorite honey from Sag Harbor Honey. My liquid for this strawberry smoothie comes from plain coconut water and ice cubes. For this recipe, I used fresh fruit, but frozen fruit work really well too; I would omit the ice if I were using the frozen berries.
No matter the seasons, smoothies just taste good, amirite?! Make this absolutely delicious and refreshing strawberry smoothie and thank me later. Packed with fresh ripe strawberries, a hint of honey, and with a coconut water base, this is screaming #health.
